This incredibly unique coin was minted using a radically new edge shaping technology that allows continuation of the engraved design from the face to the rim. Shaped like the space station from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the obverse, reverse and both rims feature an engraved representation of the triradial structure against an image of the Bajoran system. The Bajoran wormhole is visible on the reverse while on the obverse, the space station frames the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
