The reverse design by Canadian artist Calder Moore is reminiscent of an antique carousel's elaborate decor, with sculpted illustrations of horse riders, lights and gold-plated scrollwork. Affixed to the coin's surface is a magnet-enabled carousel, whose selectively painted horses move up and down as the miniature ride rotates. The obverse features the gold-plated effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
