Coin Set - 2012 - The Queen's Diamond Jubilee - 2012 Royal Silver Set
Royal Mint (UK) - Five Pounds.
The reverse bears a portrait of the young Queen as she appeared on her first coinage with the Latin words DIRIGE DEUS GRESSUS MEOS (May God Guide My Steps) forming a link to Queen Victoria, the only other monarch in British history to have celebrated a Diamond Jubilee. The edge inscription - A VOW MADE GOOD - is a reference to the Queen's promise of April 21st, 1947 and its generous and continuing fulfilment. The obverse features a faithful portrait of the Queen as she is in 2012, crowned and wearing the robes of the Order of the Garter.
Royal Canadian Mint - Twenty Dollars.
The reverse depicts conjoint portraits of the Queen and Prince Philip with a charming decorative border consisting of floral emblems of the UK intertwined with Canadian maple leaves. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
