Coin Set - 1981 - Royal Canadian Mint - Double Dollar Proof Set - Centenary of the Act of Parliament which authorized the Construction of the Trans-Canada Railway.

This proof set includes both the 1981 silver dollar and nickel dollar.

The silver dollar marks the 100th Anniversary of the Act of Parliament which authorized the Construction of the Trans-Canada Railway. The reverse depicts a steam locomotive of the late 19th century with the map of Canada in the background.

The nickel dollar bears the popular design of the Indian and Voyageur in a canoe which appeared on the first Canadian silver dollar issued in 1935.
